What is Workshop Chronicles?
Workshop Chronicles is a weekly comic about boats, cars, prototypes and other workshop residents that start talking when the Boss is gone.
Are the stories real?
Mostly. The projects, breakdowns, repairs, test runs and bad decisions are based on real events. The conversations are harder to verify.
Are the characters real?
Yes. The boats, cars and machines actually exist. Their personalities developed without permission.
Who is the Boss?
The person who builds, modifies, repairs and occasionally creates the problems everyone else talks about.
Why do the characters only talk when the Boss is gone?
Self-preservation.
Does the Boss know they can talk?
There is currently no evidence of that.
Why is something always broken?
Because everything is being tested, improved or used beyond the point where the instructions would have advised stopping.
Are the machines badly built?
No. They are enthusiastically developed.
What is the difference?
Marketing.
Is every Chronicle published in the correct week?
Usually. Time works differently in a workshop.
How often is a new Chronicle published?
The intention is weekly. The workshop does not always respect planning.
Where should I start?
Start with the latest Chronicle or browse the archive by year and week. There is no complicated storyline, although several characters would strongly disagree.
Do I need to understand RC boats, electronics or engineering?
No. Knowing that smoke is generally a bad sign is enough.
Why are there so many boats?
Because one boat would have been sensible.
Why do the boats argue so much?
Different motors, different speeds and deeply incompatible opinions about propeller size.
Is Lil Red really that small?
Yes.
Does Lil Red agree with that description?
No.
Is Big Blue really that confident?
Until the boat turns upside down.
Why is Mr Green usually calmer?
Someone has to be.
What is Proto White?
A prototype. This means everything is temporary until it unexpectedly becomes permanent.
Why is the TT-02B always dirty?
Because cleaning does not improve lap times.
Why are there stones in the workshop?
The TT-02B brought them home.
Does the Frame ever say anything?
Rarely. The Frame prefers to observe the chaos and judge everyone silently.
Why does Yellow Jacket not speak much?
Not everyone in the workshop needs to contribute to every problem.
Are the technical details accurate?
Mostly. The ridiculous parts are often the most accurate.
Were any machines harmed during production?
Several components stopped participating voluntarily.
Can I suggest an idea for a Chronicle?
Yes, but the workshop already produces more material than anyone can responsibly process.
Can I share the Chronicles?
Yes, as long as Workshop Chronicles remains credited and the original comic is not altered.
Can I use a Chronicle on my own website or social media?
Ask first. Sharing a link is fine. Reposting the complete comic without permission is not.
Is there merchandise?
Not yet. The machines are still negotiating royalties.
Will there be a movie?
Only after a completely unnecessary cinematic universe has been planned.
Is the Boss available for interviews?
Depends on what broke.
Is Workshop Chronicles suitable for children?
Probably. Most technical disasters are presented without enough detail to recreate them.
What is the main lesson of Workshop Chronicles?
Every simple project contains the potential to become six larger projects.
