Workshop Chronicle week 17: The box

A big box reading Tamiya on the side sits on the workbench
| The Boss places a large Tamiya box on the workbench. | Silence. | Everyone stares. |
| Proto White:”What’s in the box?” | Mr. Green:”Unknown.” | Big Blue:“Car.” |
| Proto White:”How do you know?” | Big Blue:“I’ve seen that look before.” | The Frame:“He’s right.” |
| Lil Red:”Maybe it’s a motor.” | Miss Violet:“It isn’t.” | Lil Red:”You don’t know that.” |
| The Frame:“We do.” | Lil Red:”I hate this workshop.” | The Boss opens the box. |
| Plastic bags everywhere. | Parts everywhere. | Instructions unfold across half the bench. |
| Proto White:”That’s a lot of pieces.” | Big Blue:“It’s a Tamiya.” | Proto White:”Is that normal?” |
| Mr. Green:”Unfortunately.” | The Boss begins assembly. | A screw is installed. |
| A moment later the screw is removed again. | Miss Violet:“Interesting.” | Yellow Jacket:”What happened?” |
| Mr. Green:”Wrong screw.” | Big Blue:“Classic opening move.” | Lil Red:”Amateurs.”* |
| Several minutes later. | The Boss removes a shock absorber. | Installs it again. |
| Mr. Green:”Wrong side.” | Proto White:”Again?” | The Frame:“Again.” |
| Several more minutes later. | The Boss removes both shock absorbers. | Installs them correctly. |
| Lil Red:”This is painful to watch.” | Big Blue:“First Tamiya?” | Mr. Green:”No.” |
| Mr. Green:”That’s the concerning part.” | ||
| The Boss opens another box. | Motor and ESC appear. | Everyone freezes. |
| Lil Red:”MOTOR!” | Proto White:”For you?” | Lil Red:”Obviously.” |
| The Boss places the motor and ESC in a completely separate box. | Silence. | More silence. |
| Lil Red:”…what?” | Mr. Green:”That appears problematic.” | Miss Violet:“For you.” |
| Lil Red:”Those were mine.” | Big Blue:“They were never yours.” | Lil Red:”In my heart they were.” |
| Proto White:”Where are they going?” | The Frame:“Elsewhere.” | Proto White:”That seems vague.” |
| The Frame:“It is.” | ||
| The Boss leaves the workshop. | The unfinished TT02 chassis sits on the bench. | The separate motor box is gone. |
| Lil Red:”This has been the worst day of my life.” | Miss Violet:“You say that every week.” | Big Blue:“And yet somehow he survives.” |
